Parent’s Night Out: Poetry + Pottery

Saturday, November 21

5:30 - 8:00

Give yourself some time off while your little one explores their creative side! Parents can drop off their children ages 5-12 for an evening in the Pensacola Museum of Art studio. Students will experiment with various media to create 3D and 2D works to take home. **Due to COVID safety guidelines, each student needs to pack their own dinner and snacks. We cannot safely provide one for them** $20 per student.

During this special NEA Big Read themed Parent's Night Out, students will be given a crash course in writing poetry by local poet, Quincy "Q" Hull. Inspired by ceramics artist Dave the Potter, students will work through poetry exercises and inscribe their final product onto a piece of pottery they create.

Seating for this class session will be limited to 6 students, 50% capacity for our current classroom space.
