Workshop: "Exploring Natural Pigments and Dyes" with Angelica Tilton

Artist Angelica Tilton will discuss her experience working with natural paints, pigments, and dyes, explaining how she makes and works with paints made from organic materials that can be found in nature. Then, you'll have the opportunity to experience natural pigments for yourself, as we paint a piece inspired by the Gulf Coast’s wildlife together using some of the artist’s watercolors made from natural pigments!
Participants will learn how to harness the colors of various plants and clays in order to celebrate our connection with the natural world. This workshop is designed for adults. Mature teenagers can accompany a parent/guardian. No previous artistic experience is necessary to participate in this workshop.
Angelica Tilton began working with natural pigments while working at Historic Pensacola Village.Since April 2021, she has shared her work through social media, regional markets, and community organizations under the name Possum and Palmetto.
